How to pack toiletries for moving

Sorting out the toiletries

Before packing the toiletries, one has to sort the items to examine if it is needed. The boxes, bottles, and tubes must be classified.

The items that are not worth being packed must be discarded. It may include products that don’t contain the label, damaged items, or expired products.
If there are unopened toiletries, shampoos, lotions, conditioners, etc, consider if it is worth moving them to your new home as shipping them may cost more than buying new products. The time and effort required to pack those items, and the risk of getting damaged while moving must also be considered.
Some of the unused items can be donated or given away to your friends if it is in good condition.
The half-filled cosmetic products or bottles can be thrown away as there is no need to pack them.
Non-allowable items or hazardous materials are not allowed to be transported. Packing the toiletries in a safe and efficient way

All your cosmetics and toiletries can be packed using bubble wrap and you can drop them in a padded bag that contains several pockets or pouches. The items have to be kept separately in each compartment.
A small sturdy box can also be used to move the toiletries. Wrap the items with towels or use crushed paper for packaging so that they don’t get damaged.
The items must also be labeled properly like “handle with care” or “fragile”.
When packing plastic bottles, there are chances of spilling. Use proper packing materials like plastic wrap, and put them in zip-top plastic bags.
The lipsticks, lip balms, lip glosses, eyeliners, mascaras, etc must be kept in a waterproof toiletry bag that contains several compartments so that they can be organized in each compartment.
The hair care products must be kept safely in sealable plastic bags to avoid spilling as some of these products contain hazardous materials.
When you pack your makeup items, place cotton pads between them to prevent the breaking or crumbling of these products. The nail polish and perfumes can be packed using bubble wrap and then placed in sealable plastic bags.
Few cosmetic products must be kept away from extreme temperatures and hence care should be taken while packing them.
